User Data Deletion

If you want us to delete all personal data we hold about you—no questions asked—here’s exactly how it works:

1. What You Can Delete

   • Chat Transcripts: Every single message you’ve ever sent or received through our WhatsApp bot.

   • Metadata: Phone number, timestamps, any technical logs tied to your number.

   • Profile Info: Public profile name or picture scraped from WhatsApp.

2. What Remains

   • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregate statistics (e.g. “we served 10 000 conversations last month”) that cannot be traced back to you.

   • Legal Holds: If a regulator or court demands we keep certain records, we’ll comply and let you know.

3. How to Request Deletion
   Email webdev@media-zoo.com with:

   • Your full E.164 phone number (e.g. +27711234567).

   • A brief statement: “Please delete all my WhatsApp chatbot data.”

   That’s it. No form to fill, no hoops to jump through.

4. Verification
   To prevent deleting someone else’s data, we’ll reply once asking you to confirm by sending back the same phone number you messaged from.

5. Timeline

   • We’ll acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.

   • We’ll complete deletion within 30 days of verification.

6. Confirmation
   Once everything’s wiped, we’ll send you a final email:

   “All your WhatsApp chatbot data has been deleted from MediaZoo’s systems.”

7. Questions or Complaints
   If you don’t get confirmation, or if you think we messed up, escalate to privacy@media-zoo.com. We’ll sort it—or own our mistake.
